Villa Lyva with about 12,000 inhabitants and is about 2 hours from Bogota, in the midst of a spectacular mountain landscape. Here, at 2149 m altitude, the climate is pleasantly mild, mainly dry and sunny. Villa de Leyva was founded in 1572 and then served as a recreation area of the Spanish Vice-Queen and the colonial masters. Villa de Leyva is a tradition to this day.
