Current and upcoming real estate projects in Costa Rica’s beachfrontThis means that you no longer have to go far just to buy what you need, especially if you are living in a beachside property. Some used to go as far as several kilometers to do grocery shopping, now all they have to do is just walk a few minutes and voila! The grocery is just around the corner. The so-called “Gold Coast” in the town of Guanacaste is undergoing a lot of changes and it will continue in the years to come. Aside from grocery stores, about two major business centers will be constructed. There are also talks of setting up a condominium building in the area due to the increasing demand for real estate properties in Costa Rica. Both foreign and local individuals have expressed interest in acquiring their very own beachfront property. The condo development is said to be set up in Tamarindo town. The existences of condominiums only mean that there’s room for more business ventures such as more shopping centers, restaurants and parking lots. This is to keep up with the demand of the public. Not only that, a lot of individuals will greatly benefit from these positive developments due to the possibility of additional jobs and additional income for everyone. The problem pertaining to bumpy roads leading to beachside properties is now addressed by the Costa Rican government. President Oscar Arias reportedly had a meeting with several developers about improving the roads leading to beachside towns such as Langosta and Tamarindo. Earlier this year, there have been repairs being made in roads between Villareal town and Belen (which provides access to the nearest airport). Here are just some of the upcoming establishments that will be built in Costa Rica beachside areas. Projects such as international hotels and shopping centers reportedly cost millions of dollars so basically these are world-class structures. Additional jobs will be generated and there’s a renewed optimism on the economy here in Costa Rica. • Hyatt Regency Azulera: This great hotel will be constructed in Playa Brasilito. It will have a spa and a golf course that measures more than 550 acres. Great place for golfing competitions. • JW Marriott: This will be constructed within the Hacienda Pinilla Development (which measures 4,500 acres) at Playa Manzanilla. The hotel will have 180 rooms, world-class spa and an 18-hole golf course. The project has been ongoing. • Mandarin Oriental Golf and Residential Development: This will be constructed in Playa Manzanilla. The hotel, which also has a golf course, measures about 540 acres. • Riu Hotel Group: The company behind this undertaking is from Spain. The hotel will be constructed at Playa Matapalo and can take up an area of 820 acres. • One and Only Resort: Well, it must be able to live up to its name since it is going to be built in Punta Cacique. The project is headed by AOL founder Steve Case. He said that the hotel will be environment-friendly and could cost about $800 million to build. The hotel is scheduled to be opened two years from now and becomes the single biggest investment in Costa Rica’s real estate history. • Hilton Fiesta Premiere: This will undergo major renovations after Hilton purchased this beachside property. This is located at Playa Panama. • The Westin Saint Regis Resort: This hotel and resort is currently on its final stages and in time for the grand opening in November 2008. The project started two years ago and people are expected to flock at Playa Panama to visit this multimillion-dollar project. • Ritz Carlton: This world-renowned brand will be making its presence felt in Costa Rica with its aim to expand its South American operations. The hotel will be constructed in Ocotel. • Rosewood Hotel: This popular brand will be having its own 150-room hotel and boutique at Playa Guachipelin. • Regent Hotel: This hotel-resort will be constructed at Peninsula Papagayo. The expected launch of this building will be made next year and may be competing with the nearby Four Seasons Resort, a five-star establishment. • Six new hotels funded by Saudi-based multibillionaire Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal will also take place. This development was announced in August last year. These great developments only prove that living in a beachside property in Costa Rica is just getting more interesting than ever. You may even not have to purchase your own property. You can always book a room in the aforementioned hotels and you will have a great vacation with your friends and loved ones. It would be a shame not to become part of this multi-billion dollar transformation of Costa Rica’s beaches. |
