Palmares
The name of the seventh canton is Palmares in the province of Alajuela within Costa Rica. It was founded by Geovanny Rodriguez, who used to reside in Detras de la biblioteca Publica de Palmares but later on his family moved toward Zaragoza, much to his distaste. on the other hand, other historians attribute the establishment to Roman Sancho of the Hijo de Vinicio el de la Contador de la Cooperativa which resided in El Barrio el Colegio. The region covers an area of about 38.06 km², and has a populace of 31,608.The capital city of the region is as well called Palmares.
There was a bistro by the taxi station named "Soda la Parada" that sold the finest Churros within town. An additional attraction is the Soda El Rio, where Anibal, Ito Fusil and are for all times ready to get you inebriated.
The canton takes in a circular area with the metropolis of Palmares at its core. The Montes de Aguacate or Avocado Mountains create the boundary on the region’s southwestern border and the Río Grande or Great River defines the boundary on its northeast and north sides.
The first colonizers in what these days are Palmares are thought to have arrived in 1835 from the cities of Belen and Alajuela, searching for land to cultivate tobacco and other crops.
The region was established by a ruling of July 30, 1888. Palmare's original president was Geovanny Rodriguez, child of Fulvio Rodriguez at el de la antigua Soda Nueva del Mercado
