Bocas Del Toro Real estate in Cauchero Cove
Cauchero Cove - New Ecological Real Estate Development in Bocas Del Toro, Panama
Cauchero Cove, a new ecological development in the province of Bocas del Toro, Panama, is a result the teamwork of Bruce Quayle and James Ansay. Both men have been living and working in the archipelago for almost five years.
Ten years ago Bruce retired from being the owner of a Landscape Architectural - Land Planning firm in Naples, Florida, which he operated for twenty-eight years. His focus was upon large retirement and assisted living care communities as well as golf course communities, hotels and private residences in various parts of Florida.
While cruising the Caribbean in his forty-eight foot sailboat, Bruce found Bocas del Toro. "I knew this place was special - So I stayed".
Bruce has designed and built three residential projects since his arrival in the Bocas area including a six slip "Residential Boat Storage" facility. All of Bruce's projects are on the waterfront.
"One of the main objectives of my work is to insure that the natural flora and habitat which existed before the construction of my projects is protected during the construction. Every effort has been made at Cauchero Cove to see that the environment remains pristine". - B.Quayle
James Ansay is a retired American businessman from Florida. Prior to his retirement Jim was a Mechanical Engineer. His business ventures include owning and operating restaurants and activities in the real estate field. After spending the first ten years of his retirement cruising the Caribbean and South America in his forty-three foot Albin Trawler, he decided he wanted to put down some roots. He looked for a place which was outside the hurricane belt, was in the Caribbean, was safe and well protected and provided all of the amenities available in North America. Bocas del Toro fit the bill and soon became his home.
James successfully built his first project in Bocas del Toro - Bocas Condos - in 2004-05. Bocas Condos is a eighteen unit, studio apartment condominium located on Avenue D between 4th and 5th Streets in Bocas del Toro on the island of Colon. The project is 100% sold out and has been in operation since 2006.
At the same time Bocas Condos was under construction, James started a small project at Punta Robalo, a village located off the coastal highway east of Almirante at mile marker twenty-two. He built a road in Punta Robalo which leads to a landing site for boats with homes constructed over the water. This site is being used as a shore station (boat landing and boat and car storage) for the new development - Cauchero Cove.
With the success of Bocas Condos behind him, Jim became interested in building a eco-friendly development removed from the hustle and bustle of the Island of Colon. Jim located a area with deep water access on deep water with excellent protection for yachts. This property is on the mainland and is titled which was perfect for the new development ..........Cauchero Cove (www.caucherocove.com).
Cauchero Cove is an unspoiled, pristine, thirty-five acre ecological building site. It provides you with a residential building site in a community that you will feel good about becoming a part of. With the purchase of your building site your investment includes a percentage share of the overall project the common natural areas - clubhouse, walkways and the deep water marine docking facilities. The docking facility provides approximately 1800 feet of waterfront dock walkways and were developed in strict compliance with ANAM guidelines, no mangrove clear cutting was done to facilitate the construction of the marine facility.
Homes that are developed are required to abide by equally sound guidelines that include:
- Grey water disposal drain fields
- Composting toilets
- Electrical Systems that require 1-2 hours generating times per day
- Generators to only run at specific times of the day
- No tree or mangrove cutting of any kind without the express permission of the developers
Set in the rainforest, Cauchero Cove has abundant wildlife and peaceful surroundings. All walkways and home sites are designed around the existing topographic features. Expected to be completed in early 2009, Phase I of this new development includes twenty cabanas, constructed on platforms from 600 to 900 Sq Ft base, they can be built as one, two or three story units.
Sites also include a private deep water slip, access to a clubhouse, restaurant and an island gazebo built overlooking crystal clear waters of Encenada Boquete. Hear Howler monkeys as you watch the sunset with your friends and fellow neighbors.
As part of the overall development, we will also be developing and selling boat slips for built-to-order house boats.
