With the new highway construction that will link Colon and Panama City, hands down, my favorite pick of the month is Maria Chiquita located in the Caribbean coast of Panama!
Once the brand new highway is completed, this jewel of a beach side community will be accessed in less than an hour from Panama city.
There are also plans for another road to go in from Cerro Azul over to Santa Isabel on the Caribbean, this is expected to be completed within the next two years.

Both highways will increase the value of any available land + lot in Colon's Caribbean coast line, making it now the ideal moment to invest in Colon. One of the particular areas under development right now is Maria Chiquita.

Maria Chiquita is a small community right on the Caribbean coast, many of the town houses are painted with vibrant colours reminiscent to those you would expect to find on a Caribbean Island.
We already know of several developers investing land in Colon and projects along the area, one of which is a large development featuring nearly 800 condo hotel units is under construction.
This project is called Bala Beach and will be the first of the American type building projects along the beautiful Caribbean coast one being the first beach you come as you drive down to Portobello.
Portobello is a well known as the city protected by forts and cannons built to warn the infamous pirate Henry Morgan, is located only 6km up the road from Maria Chiquita.


Many people are interested in the best place to create a short term investment in Panama, and almost nobody is unable to be attracted to the idea of owning land in the caribbean coast of Colon.
