La Playa Maybela belongs to the municipality of San Rafael del Sur, department of Managua and is located an hour away from the capital city taking the old Leon road that goes to Playa Montelimar.

For this reason it is very visited in vacation time.
This beach is characterized by a short sandy strip compared to other nearby beaches such as Pochomil or Montelimar. On the other hand, it presents a feasible wave for extreme sports such as Surf and boogie board.

It should be noted that on this beach there are summer houses, however, the visitor can make camping or relax in the sand for the day. In these cases it is advisable to carry foods, drinks and items that you will use for your visit. If you want to search for some special item, you can go to the nearest sale which is 20 minutes by car from the beach.

On the other hand, perhapsla has a natural Estero that is located in an area called Los Cajones. In this area the surrounding population meets for the holiday season and makes use of small infrastructures located in the place to spend a pleasant time.
