Federal Signal's 4-wire FSF107 smoke detector is a photoelectric device capable of detecting smoke at air speeds of 100 to 4000 feet per minute. This low flow technology allows the detection of smoke in ducts in a wide range of airflow environments. Many hard-to-resolve HVAC applications occur in low-air flow touch applications where reliable smoke detection is critical.

Two C-shaped relay contacts provide reliable performance for fan management, blowers and air conditioning systems. Then, these devices can be configured to prevent the spread of toxic smoke and fire gases through a protected area.

The FSF107 has been designed for simplified installation and easy maintenance. Modular construction allows easy cleaning and uncomplicated field replacement of feeding cards and sensors. The patented "falta deck" feature ensures that the deck is well pressed after cleaning and routine maintenance. The patented interconnection function allows multiple FSF107 to communicate with each other. In case smoke is detected, the FSF107 will tell the remaining detectors to start their relays for smoke control. A five-foot metal sampling tube is an optional accessory available with the FSF108 part number.
