Isla Colon is the largest and most developed of the islands of Bocas del Toro. Although "development" is relative. The accommodations here ranging from simple bed and breakfast 3 to 5 bedrooms to beachfront hotels with fewer than 20 rooms. In Isla Colón, life is easy. There are still chickens running through the streets unpaved, but the intrepid visitors occasionally find an ATM or a place with wireless Internet access.

But if you want something more, you can take a minibus that takes you a tour into the island for a dollar, up beach Boca del Drago. In there, people wearing tiny swimsuits can be seen. If swimming makes you hungry and thirsty, you can enjoy drinks, seafood, creole and foreign dishes.
