If you know 70-series Land Cruisers in Costa Rica, you know Black Box. This is my 2012 LC76 wagon, bought from BLACKBOX Custom 4x4 in Tamarindo in 2023 and built by them from day one. I have both original Black Box invoices documenting US$72,702 invested in the truck and the full build below. Black Box leaves Toyota's stock diesel drivetrain untouched for reliability and puts the money where it matters: suspension, armor, tires, and gear.

The build (all installed by Black Box at purchase in 2023, documented on their invoices):
- Full ARB Old Man Emu +2 suspension kit with OME steering stabilizer
- AFN bullbar
- Fender flares
- Safari-style snorkel
- ARB Aluminium Series roof rack
- 5x BF Goodrich KM2 285/70R16 on 5x Toyota Luxury Black rims (spare included)
- Pioneer head unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
- Backup camera
- Rockford Fosgate speakers with amplified subwoofer
- Security window tint
- Waterproof seat covers, front and back (included)
- Tray floor mats

5-speed manual, part-time 4WD with factory diff-lock, 4.2 inline-6 diesel, split rear barn doors, rear bench plus side jump seats. Grey interior in very good shape. 101,040 km - barely broken in for one of these.

Well maintained since day one: serviced at least twice a year, every modification done by Black Box, and currently stored and maintained by a professional mechanic shop 5 minutes from Liberia Airport. DEKRA and marchamo up to date. Showings by appointment near the airport.

Note: the build/install photos are from purchase in 2023; new photos are coming and the truck is in very similar shape today.

Si conoces los Land Cruiser serie 70 en Costa Rica, conoces Black Box. Este es mi LC76 wagon 2012, comprado en BLACKBOX Custom 4x4 en Tamarindo en 2023 y armado por ellos desde el primer dia. Tengo las dos facturas originales de Black Box que documentan US$72.702 invertidos en el vehiculo y el build completo. La filosofia de Black Box es dejar el tren motriz diesel original de Toyota intacto por confiabilidad, e invertir donde importa: suspension, blindaje, llantas y equipo.

El build (todo instalado por Black Box al momento de la compra en 2023, documentado en sus facturas):
- Kit completo de suspension ARB Old Man Emu +2 con estabilizador de direccion OME
- Bullbar AFN
- Fender flares
- Snorkel estilo Safari
- Rack de techo ARB serie Aluminio
- 5 llantas BF Goodrich KM2 285/70R16 en 5 aros Toyota Luxury Black (repuesto incluido)
- Pantalla Pioneer con Apple CarPlay y Android Auto
- Camara de retroceso
- Parlantes Rockford Fosgate con subwoofer amplificado
- Laminas de seguridad
- Forros impermeables para asientos delanteros y traseros (incluidos)
- Alfombras de bandeja

Caja manual de 5 velocidades, 4x4 con diff-lock de fabrica, motor diesel 4.2 de 6 cilindros en linea, puertas traseras tipo granero, asiento trasero mas asientos laterales plegables. Interior gris en muy buen estado. 101.040 km - apenas desempacado para uno de estos.

Bien mantenido desde el primer dia: servicio al menos dos veces al ano, cada modificacion hecha por Black Box, y actualmente guardado y mantenido por un taller mecanico profesional a 5 minutos del aeropuerto de Liberia. DEKRA y marchamo al dia. Se muestra con cita cerca del aeropuerto.
